So what is the product? What is the service that you offer? Advocacy, legal advice? You need to dig a little deeper and identify your niche in that profession.
P – People – Identify who your ideal client is. What is that person going through that your law firm services with match exactly? Identify that person.
P – Process – Once a solid marketing plan for you law firm is working and the ideal clients start calling for appointments and coming through the doors daily, what process would you take them through to ensure they become a success story? Write it down.
How to get new clients for law firm
I – Invest time into researching the pain of your ideal clients, questions and problems that they commonly have. Yes, I know in a law firm, your ideal client needs legal advice.
Dig deeper. What type? Is it real estate or corporate or personal injury. Now invest time in researching their pain, questions and problems. Write 100 of them down.
L – Learn how to replace their pain with pleasure, answer their questions and solve their problems. Tell success stories. Tap into their feeling on a deeper level? write it down? 100.
D – Do what you do best daily by practicing with existing clients? yours or by working with an established organization. I’m sure you are already doing this.
The problem for most law firms is that this is all they do. They don’t engage in the other 6 steps. And they wonder why no new business or appointments are coming in.
Have some of your activities in your real life pratice recorded to be shared as content online. Your best clients are more attracted to working with you when they have a peep of your “behind the scenes.”

T – Teach for free regularly on major online networks such as YouTube, Blogs and iTunes by sharing information on answers to commons and solutions to common problem.
Also, tap into digging deeper into common pain (especially emotional pain) of your ideal client. It communicates at very deep level that you know what you are talking and it increases their perception of you as a market lead. In fact, you really are.
This is called content creation. Back in the days, cash was king. In the digital age, content is king. They are basically little agents crawling around the internet to create business for you by giving value.
The business and practices that will win in the digital age are the business that create the time to create content and distribute on a regular basis.
